Exploring abstraction, life at home and ideas of progress translated into images.

My images mix abstraction and documentarian realism. The synthesis of photographic genres comes through as associations of visual perceptions: a hermetic voyage through landscapes, concept and portraits as states of mind.
I dwell around isolating the underlying or supporting structures as well as the finishes of reality from their native context, in an attempt to study their deeper nature and reflect on the mind’s processes in visual perception. At last, I delve back into the world, to understand the hierarchy of the components of a visual message in a complex system, aiming at creating shareable, universally accessible signifiers, and propel us into an inclusive and manageable debate.
I seek to understand the interdependence of visual stimuli within an image, the underlying rules that balance an image and its elements, the perception of meaning in an image segue. I investigate the categories of the mind and of society that produce identity, meaning, harmony, bond and community while imagining a common visual alphabet, comprehensible to all, a united human race.
